Take turns, keep score
5, 10 or 15 rounds. You alternate who picks first, guesses stay hidden until you've both locked in, and the final round counts double.
Guess the town from Google Street View
Free and open source. No account, no ads, no API key. One HTML file that runs in any modern browser.

Sam is up. Alex already locked in a secret guess.
How it works
Street View puts you on a random street in a real town. Every game picks fresh spots, so it never plays the same twice.
Drag to look, click the road to walk, read the signs and license plates. Stuck on a dull field? Jump to a new street in the same town.
Each player secretly picks one of four towns. Then the reveal shows where you were, who got it, and a map of the spot.
Auto pick
Hit the yellow Auto pick sign and a roulette spins across the four towns, slows down, and locks one in for you. Turn on the shot clock and it fires by itself when time runs out.
Can't pick game settings either? Surprise me spins through the town packs and rolls the rest.

The reveal
After both of you lock in, you see the real town and the street address, who said what, and a map. A right answer is 100 points. Three right in a row starts a hot streak worth +25 a round.

30 or 60 seconds a turn. The bar drains, it beeps in the last five, then the game picks for you.
Foggy Morning, Night Drive, Upside Down, Old Postcard and Tunnel Vision. Each one is worth +50.
One per game, only when you're picking second. Knocks out two wrong towns.
The last round counts double, so nobody's out of it until the end.
Sharpshooter, Hot Streak, Clutch, Twist Tamer, Auto-Pilot, and Scenic Route if nobody gets one.
The game remembers your head-to-head wins on that computer, so the rivalry carries over.
Two ways to play
5, 10 or 15 rounds. You alternate who picks first, guesses stay hidden until you've both locked in, and the final round counts double.
Agree on one answer together. Every wrong guess is a flat tire, and three flats ends the trip. Count the towns you clear and the miles you drive, then try to beat your best trip.
Where you'll drive
Every town was checked for Google Street View coverage. On Hard, the wrong answers are towns near the right one.
Small towns of Southeast Oklahoma, North Texas and Southwest Arkansas. Hugo or Antlers? Good luck.
From Guymon in the Panhandle to Tahlequah in Green Country.
Famous US towns: Key West, Sedona, Deadwood, Bar Harbor, Marfa, Juneau and more.
Big cities on six continents, from Reykjavík to Cape Town to Kyoto.
Built for the TV
Big type and big signs you can read from across the room. Plug a laptop into the TV, open the game in Chrome or Edge, and press F for full screen.
Play with a mouse, a keyboard, or a TV remote: arrow keys move between the signs and OK picks. Clicking into Street View sends the keys to Google; picking any answer takes them back.

Open source
The whole game is one file, play.html, with no build step and no server. MIT licensed: copy it, change it, share it.
Open the hosted game. Nothing to install.
Download play.html from GitHub and double-click it. It works offline from your disk, as long as the computer is online for Street View.
Fork the repo, add your hometown to the PACKS table, and run node tools/check-towns.mjs to confirm it has Street View. Pull requests welcome.
